I find deck companion books extremely valuable in helping me understand the deck creator’s philosophy and the background behind their choice of symbolism and meaning for their cards.
Since my deck has symbols that are quite abstract, I wanted to give the reader as much to work with as possible in the companion book.
For each card, I’ve included a short description of the image from the original astrophysics perspective. This information often matched nicely with the card’s traditional meanings, which was very cool!
I’m a fan of archetypes and mythology, so my card messages tell little stories related to the main card symbolism, along with some ideas for reading interpretation.
For the 22 Major Arcana cards, I also added poems of mine that seemed to speak to the essence of the card’s message.
A couple of examples from the color PDF of the book are given here.
