The Divine Physics Deck

I have this cool idea about connecting Tarot to the cosmos.

The Sun, Moon, Star cards are in the deck for a reason; we humans are fascinated with the heavens. I’m fascinated both with the mythological symbolism and the physics displayed above our little planet, so I thought I’d build a deck and book around my philosophy of the universe.

I went looking for pictures I could use that were already available and found that good old NASA had plenty of resources. Some really amazing resources.

I have my own story about the universe and how Tarot works within it, and my own vision of how to use these cosmic images. I’m looking to stay as true to the original images as possible, although I am adding bits of imagery in collage fashion to a small minority of the Minor Arcana to make the connection to the Tarot image of the RWS deck clearer.

I have printed a prototype now to play with so I can experiment with reading. Next step is to write up the companion book!
