Welcome to your weekly Tarot forecast! Getting closer to Hallowe’en. Canadian Thanksgiving already done and U.S. to come, so there are lots of autumn energies, pumpkin decorations and spices coming out.
I’m using the Tarot Mucha this week. I’ve always had a fondness for the Art Nouveau era at the turn of the 20th century. Massaglia and Nosenzo have created a great tribute to Alfons Mucha in this deck.
Since there is no specific question or area of concern for these readings, my interpretation will be very general in nature, based on my sense of what the Tarot itself is addressing and the general energy potentials for the week.
Let’s do a chronological look first, and then we’ll use some mirrored pairs to round out the message.
The Timeline View
We begin this week with a great working environment (Three of Discs). You’ve got the direction you need to go in and the skill set to pursue it. Working well with others is the theme, supported by the second card, the Queen of Cups. At least one member of the team (maybe you!) will be providing emotional support and sensitivity to make sure everyone feels included.
By midweek, you should be able to take a major break from work and relax either at home or away from the busy-ness of the work environment (The Empress). Possibly even a trip to the farmer’s market or a hike in the woods or a visit with mom. There’s a sense of all being well and things coming to fruition after the work is done.
Moving toward the end of the week, challenges may crop up to impact your sense of well-being. To avoid increasing the pain of some mistake in the work you are up to (Three of Swords), make sure you keep control over your finances (Four of Discs). Something will hurt, but you can lessen the impact by not overspending.
The Mirrored Tarot Pairs
The focal point for this view of your cards is the power of the Feminine, and of material abundance and comfort, as well as the completion of a creative task in the power of The Empress. She will keep your creativity alive for the week.
Now let’s pair the outer cards up to see how they might inform your situation. Watch out for some error or someone not being happy with your work this week (Three of Swords and Three of Discs). This is the counter energy to the sense of completion represented by The Empress. You still have a chance to make this work (just because The Empress is so powerful), but don’t take anything for granted.
The inner pair is an interesting set of opposite energies, the open emotions of the Queen of Cups matched with the closed and controlled Four of Discs dude hanging on tightly to his resources. I’m thinking that in order to allow The Empress to save the week, you will need to balance the energy of releasing emotions with the need to control the practical aspects of your activities. When you find the mistake or problem indicated by the Three of Swords, you will want to enlist a calm response and may actually need to release some funds to solve the problem.
