Welcome to your weekly Tarot forecast! For this reading, I’m using my new Tarot Decoratif from Ciro Marchetti. It’s an interesting integration of the Marseille style decks with their unillustrated minor arcana cards and the Rider-Waite-Smith. Ciro has added some parts of his previous illustrations to minor arcana cards to give more visual cues to the cards. I don’t need them, but it’s an interesting way of mixing the two systems.
Since there is no specific question or area of concern for these readings, my interpretation will be very general in nature, based on my sense of what the Tarot itself is addressing and the general energy potentials for the week.
Also, I will be using different suit associations that I learned from my first encounter with Marseille decks. Épées/Swords will be about career issues, batons/wands about social life, coupes/cups about relationships, and deniers/coins about physical/financial well-being.
Let’s do a chronological look first, and then we’ll use some mirror pairs to round out the message.
The Timeline View
This week we first see a new opportunity (Ace d’Épées) on the job or in your own business (great!), but in order to implement this change, you will need to sacrifice something else (Ten/Dix d’Épées). Sounds like there are too many jobs to do and change will be a necessity in order to take on something new. Otherwise, it will be way too much to handle.
By midweek, you may need to consult more experienced folks in your career field to manage the challenges you were given on Monday and Tuesday. An expert (Le Pape) should be available to guide you in setting priorities or launching something new.
As you move on toward week’s end, you should be able to take charge of your situation so you can manage taking on that new project and delegating activities you don’t need to be doing yourself (Chariot). The result will be a new source of income (Ace Deniers). This new stream may start out small, but we’ll have to wait to see how it grows.
The Mirrored Tarot Pairs
The focal point for this view of your cards is Le Pape, the leader of traditional belief systems, the expert in your field. He and his way of thinking are key to your success this week.
Now let’s pair the outer cards up to see how they might inform your situation. Pretty simple, really. Your new source of income resides in the new opportunity you may see arriving at your office door this week. It will be important to address this opportunity to see if it’s right for you.
The inner pair says that in order to take charge of this new project, you will have to sacrifice others that may seem important to you; otherwise you will be overwhelmed by this shift in focus and will not be able to take advantage of the new.
Cosmic Whispers of the Week
As usual, Olivia over at First Earth Tarot has an insightful single-card draw to inform a situation, in this case how we “regular folks” can deal with the disturbing situations in places like Syria. Details here.
James Wells over at his Circle Ways site has also been contemplating the state of humanity, and has come up with a very nice spread to take a look at our mythologies and whether they are still serving us. More here.
And lastly, on a more practical note, Lisa Eddy on questions from querents and how to rephrase them for a better result with the cards. Check them all out here.
